Gratitude, Baby!

Happy November! November reminds me to be grateful for all of my blessings and honestly, there is so much to be grateful for in my life. I am also looking forward to Thanksgiving, one of my favorite holidays!! I love spending time with family and eating delicious food. I also love seeing the Christmas decorations starting to pop up at this time.

I went through quite a few changes in October, my house is undergoing renovations, and I announced my “And Now What” retreat to only have to postpone it because of said renovations. In addition to that, I lost my dog of 13 years. Losing my pet, was one of the hardest things my family and I had to go through. I’m sure all of my fellow pet owners understand. I am grateful we were able to spend Buddy’s last moments with him, thanking him for his love and devotion.

I also started to do some personal work in October by working on truly “letting go” of what is beyond my control. I had to accept that my house would not be ready in time for the retreat, so I accepted that and gained peace about postponing it.

I am grateful for the responses I received when I announced the retreat and I am grateful for everyone’s understanding that I have to postpone it.

I have to be honest, I struggle with gratitude at times, but this is definitely one area I intend to improve over the next few months. I will start with positive affirmations that start with thanking God for all that I have and all that I am. I will release preconceived notions of “should” and allow things to just “be”. I will work on accepting things and people as they are, no more, no less. I will also do more of what I love, being grateful for every opportunity to do so.
