Let Me Introduce You to Meditation

Meditation is a great way to take care of yourself and it doesn’t require a lot of time or money. It can be done anywhere and at any time.

Here are some of the benefits of meditation;

  •  -Reduces stress
  • -Controls anxiety
  • -Enhances self-awareness
  • -Lengthens attention span

I started meditating through my yoga practice. But to be completely honest, I started meditating long before when I would pray and read my devotionals every morning (which I still do). I just didn’t realize that this was “meditation”.

My morning practice helped me to greet each day with an open mind and calm spirit. Doing this daily routine prepared me to handle my days better.

One of my favorite meditation tools is the “Insight Timer” app. It’s free and has thousands of free meditations to choose from. Do yourself a favor and download it today. This is not an ad, I just believe in this tool.

Start with a 1 or 2 minute meditation and build from there. I especially like to use it when I’m having a hard time going to sleep.
